Project title: Promoting CSOs contribution towards the achievement of the TB Millennium Development Goals in Kenya in line with the Global Stop TB Strategy

Funding agency: Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria Round 9 through AMREF as the Principal Recipient

Project Summary:

The project 5 year project (November 2011 to June 2013 for phase 1) aims at to accelerate quality DOTS expansion in order to achieve and sustain national TB control targets in line with Global TB control targets and the Millennium Development Goals.

Objectives

  • Reduce TB diagnostic delays in special and vulnerable populations by the end of the project period
  •  Community systems strengthening to ensure communities play a pivotal role in tb control interventions by end of the project period

KANCO is sub granting and providing technical support to 26 organization to implement community based programs on TB
