Since 1996, KANCO membership has risen steadily. KANCO Membership is open to all registered NGOs, CBOs, FBOs , PLWHA support organisations, Learning Institutions, Public and Private Sector organizations, in Kenya who have an interest in HIV & AIDS.. Associate members include individuals and development partners


Membership requirements for organisations         

  • A copy of the organisations registration certificate with the relevant government authority or ministry
  • Two reference letters from any two of the following:
    • District AIDS/STDs Co-ordinator (DASCO)
    • Medical Officer of Health (MOH)
    • District AIDS Control Coordinator/ Constituency AIDS Control Committee (CACC)/ National AIDS Control Council (NACC)
    • District Development Officer (DDO)
    • District Social Development Officer (DSDO)
    • A recognised NGO
    • The District Commissioner or the District Officer in your area of operation
  • The last progress report of your organisation if you have been in operation or your profile if you are new organisation.
  • A payment of Kshs. 1000.00 after approval of your registration by the Kenya AIDS NGOs Consortium (KANCO) Executive Director.
