Only prevention and advocacy programs that directly address men's sexual and drug mtaking behaviour can significantly reduce the rate which the disease is spreading in our country. It is strongly felt that reaching men is key to limiting the spread of HIV/AIDS". (UNAIDS: 2001)
As the fight against HIV/AIDS continues, there is need to target men regarding HIV/AIDS issues as there are a lot of issues, which need to be addressed, for example, why men have an important role to play in HIV/AIDS prevention, why it is important to improve access to information that men want, why it is difficult to reach men, the need to develop approaches to meet specific needs of men in particular circumstances that put them at risk among other issues.
